About the Northern Early Childhood Support Network (ECSN)

The Northern Early Childhood Support Network (ECSN) is a grant-funded initiative aimed at improving the quality of early childhood education and support services in northern Michigan. As a key partner in this effort, the EUPISD is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Training and Technical Assistance Specialist to join the ECSN team. Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Early Childhood Support Network Training and Technical Assistance Specialist to develop and deliver high-quality training and technical assistance content and resources to support the priorities, goals, and mission of the Northern ECSN. The successful candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver training and technical assistance content and resources to support early childhood providers, young children, and their families
  • Assist with convening and facilitating stakeholder meetings regarding statewide initiatives or regional training events for the Northern ECSN
  • Provide data analysis and support for regional Resource Centers, Great Start Collaboratives, and Parent Coalitions
  • Coordinate with regional partners to develop and offer professional development opportunities to support quality improvement efforts
  • Stay up-to-date on current research related to ECSNs, T&TA, and quality improvement, and participate in state and national professional development opportunities
  • Provide consultation and support for the functions of the Northern ECSN, including regular meetings with ECSN Administrators, Management Team, Steering Committee, Advisory Board, and other stakeholders

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in early childhood education, child development, or a related field, with a minimum of three years' experience in Michigan's early childhood systems
  • Master's degree in a related field preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and skill applications with research and evidence-based practices in early childhood
  • Excellent time management and organization skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong interpersonal and writing skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences
  • Ability to travel throughout northern Michigan and the Upper Peninsula, with some statewide and national travel required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in training, technical assistance, and public speaking
  • Knowledge of Adobe Connect and Adobe Presenter, or similar software
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting, and the ability to gather information, analyze data, problem-solve, and implement decisions in a collaborative team setting
  • Strong self-directedness and initiative, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities and projects
