About the Role

The Senior Manager Self Service Engineering at blithequark will be responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of customer support and self-service engineering. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of products from conception to retirement, ensuring their technical excellence and alignment with business objectives.
  • Lead and mentor a team of engineers, including Lead Engineers and Senior Engineers, to foster a culture of technical innovation and excellence.
  • Collaborate with product management and marketing teams to develop the product vision and roadmap, ensuring that technical capabilities are aligned with business needs.
  • Develop and maintain the technology roadmap for products within your area of responsibility, focusing on security, reliability, and scalability.
  • Drive the development of policies, standards, and guidelines for building and supporting IT products, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
  • Oversee the creation and maintenance of financial and resource plans for your area of responsibility, ensuring effective budget management.
  • Act as the escalation point for operational support to assigned portfolio applications, ensuring continuous availability and resolving complex technical issues.
  • Manage production and non-production environments through change control management, ensuring minimal disruption to services.
  • Ensure that work practices comply with all audit, security, and regulatory requirements, maintaining the highest standards of integrity and compliance.
  • Collaborate with other Engineering Managers to ensure alignment and drive efficiencies across teams.
  • Play a key role in driving and coaching direct and indirect team members to support their engagement, development, and progression within the IT division.

Essential Qualifications and Capabilities

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or demonstrated ability to perform the job requirements with a High School Diploma/GED and at least four (4) years of relevant experience.
  • Hands-on experience with technologies such as Java, AngularJS, and NodeJS.
  • Working knowledge of cloud computing platforms like Azure, GCP, or AWS.
  • Availability for moderate short-term travel (up to 35%) and possession of valid travel documents.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and be available for emergency response on short notice.
  • Pass a pre-employment drug assessment and be legally eligible to work in the country where the position is located.
  • Authorization to work in the US without requiring visa sponsorship.
