**Job Summary**
We're seeking an experienced Part-Time Chat Customer Service Agent to join our team of music industry experts. As a key member of our virtual contact center, you will be responsible for providing top-notch customer support to fans of popular music artists. This is a flex-time position, with guaranteed 25 hours per week and the potential to flex up to 40 hours per week based on client needs and workflow. Shifts vary between 9:00am-6:00pm EST, with flexibility to work weekends as required by the client.
**Responsibilities**
As a Part-Time Chat Customer Service Agent, you will be responsible for:
* Expressing genuine empathy and concern for customers' issues and addressing them as if they were your own
* Answering, evaluating, and prioritizing requests from customers having questions or experiencing problems with services or products
* Identifying high-risk customer situations and escalating them appropriately without hesitation
* Keeping up with multiple chats at a time and accurately documenting all required information and chat details in the ticketing system
* Responding to and resolving open issues in an appropriate timeframe
* Identifying trends related to systems, platforms, and/or customers and escalating them appropriately to management
* Multi-tasking using multiple systems and skillfully changing from one task to another without loss of efficiency or composure
* Maintaining punctuality and attendance at all scheduled times and remaining positive and professional in all customer interactions
* Cross-training as requested to ensure flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
**Qualifications**
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A LOVE of music, with a focus on Pop and Country genres
* 3-5 years of call center chat experience, with a strong preference for technical experience and Zendesk expertise
* The ability to type 30 wpm with 90% accuracy or above consistently
* Strong messaging communication skills, active listening abilities, and a great understanding of text and chat acronyms
* Excellent grammar and the ability to use industry-specific lingo when necessary
* Previous work-from-home experience and a High School Diploma or equivalent
* A strong understanding of contact center support metrics and the ability to implement actions for improvement
**Hardware and Software Requirements**
To ensure a seamless and efficient experience, you will need:
* Your own computer with a processor of more than 4 cores, 8GB of RAM (Windows 10 or higher / 10 64 bits), and a screen resolution of 1280x768 or higher (dual monitors required)
* A USB headset and up-to-date antivirus software installed on the platform (with a recent scan completed)
* A hardwired connection to your router and a firewall enabled (which will be checked prior to allowing login to the system)
