Job Overview
As a Customer Service Representative, you'll play a critical role in our customer service team, handling inquiries related to home delivery pharmacy and pharmacy benefits. This is a full-time, remote position requiring a flexible schedule, including weekends and potential overtime during peak seasons. You'll be the face of blithequark to many of our customers, providing them with the support and information they need in a fast-paced environment.
Primary Responsibilities
- Respond to a high volume of incoming calls (60-80 calls) from customers regarding home delivery pharmacy or pharmacy benefits.
- Engage with customers by asking pertinent questions and actively listening to their concerns, ensuring that all required information is accurately documented in our computer systems.
- Make outbound calls to customers for follow-ups as necessary.
- Navigate and utilize complex computer system applications to resolve customer inquiries efficiently.
Requirements for Success
Essential Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or GED, or 2 years of equivalent work experience.
- At least 1 year of customer service experience, preferably with experience providing service over the phone.
- Familiarity with computer applications, particularly Windows PC applications, and the ability to learn new systems.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to commit to 3-4 weeks of paid training with 100% attendance.
- Flexibility to work any 8-hour shift schedule during our business hours (5:00 AM - 11:00 PM CST, Sunday - Saturday), with potential overtime.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous call center experience.
- Familiarity with virtual learning and working environments.
- Experience with digital platforms and systems, including web, chat, and email.
- Background or experience in a healthcare or insurance environment, including knowledge of medical terminology or benefit plan design.
Telecommuting Requirements
- Maintain the security and confidentiality of company-sensitive documents.
- Have a dedicated workspace that is separate from living areas and ensures information privacy.
- Reside in a location with access to a high-speed internet connection.
- Connect to the internet via a hard wire for work purposes.
Soft Skills and Competencies
To excel in this role, you'll need to be adept at working in a fast-paced environment, handling a minimum of 50 calls daily, and demonstrating excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Your ability to be proactive, patient, and empathetic will be crucial in providing top-notch service to our customers.
