Summary of Position
The Senior PR Manager is responsible for overseeing and executing on all aspects of Nexon America’s games publicity and communications strategy in the Western Market. This includes developing and implementing a range of initiatives and communications strategies for our Virtual Worlds, maintaining strong media relations, analyzing opportunities and risks associated with media inquiries and working closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to advance the brand and reputation of our games. This individual has a strong track record in media relations, is a global-minded communicator, results-driven, pro-active & resourceful, intellectually curious, and solutions focused. Ideally, this position also has a strong understanding of content creator management and best practices partnering with industry influencers.
We are currently working in the office 2-3x a week in a hybrid work model.
Job Responsibilities
Create proactive and reactive integrated communications campaigns that strengthen our games’ reputation and perception in the Western market
Work closely with both local production teams as well as external international development teams, publishing, and marketing teams to develop and execute PR plans to support game launches and major updates. Help educate global business and regional development teams on best practices for western games PR strategies
Craft communications strategy for media that support a positive relationship with outlets to grow brand awareness, equity, and performance
Represent the Nexon America communications/PR team across the organization to ensure alignment around business objectives and broader company initiatives
Continuously identify fresh ways to educate external audiences about our games and company narrative
Manage external PR agencies and secure top-tier media coverage
Plan industry trade shows, media tours – both locally and remote as well as other events for media management and relationship building
Train and advise spokespeople in preparation for media interviews, presentations, and other speaking engagements
Other duties as assigned
Work Experience
• 7+ years Public Relations experience
• 2+ years leadership experience (agency or in-house)
• Strong press contacts across gaming, consumer and technology press
• Developer interface experience with strong track record of good relationships
• Gaming industry experience preferred
Education, Professional Training, Technical Training or Certification
• Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
• Stellar professional reputation and credibility with the press and PR community
Knowledge/Skills
Excellent writer and communicator
Strong project management skills and ability to manage complex projects
Strong problem solver
Management experience with the ability to motivate and guide team
Able to interact effectively with people at all levels of the Company
Crisis management and communication experience
Strong organizational and time management skills
Must be willing to travel both domestically and internationally

Compensation Description for Pay Transparency (annually)
The base salary range for this position in El Segundo, CA is $130,000 - $160,000 annually.
Our salary ranges are determined by market data based on position and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum salaries for that position. An individual’s pay is determined by factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s qualifications, skills, experiences, relevant education or training, and location.
Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work. This role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, however the salary range listed in this job posting reflects the base salary only.
