The Brad and Alys Smith Outdoor Economic Development Collaborative at West Virginia University is currently accepting applications for a (Remote) Temporary Part-time Trail Signage Specialist.
About the Opportunity
This position will coordinate with OEDC’s Infrastructure Coordinator and WVU Trails manager.
What You'll Do
• Draft ready-to-print trail signage for trails on WVU campus
• Draft and vet print-ready artwork for use on trailhead kiosks, trailside navigation signage, emergency response locators, and interpretive signage
• Use GIS data, ARCPro, and Adobe Creative Suite products to update trail maps and wayfinding signage
• Provide writing and editing support on signage related publications
• Assist with editing and publishing of WVU Trail Signage Toolkit
Length of Assignment: 12 Months
Work Hours: Approximately 4.5 hours per week
Pay Grade: 16
• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• A minimum of two (2) years of experience involving:
• Developing trail and open space signage
• Any equivalent combination of related education and/or experience will be considered.
• All qualifications must be met by the time of employment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• GIS mapping
• Adobe creative suite
• Advanced graphic design skills
