Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Strategy Consultant - AML & Financial Crimes Compliance, you will be at the forefront of our mission, working closely with our clients to enhance their financial crime risk management frameworks. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Advising Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering Officers (BSA/AML Officers), Chief Risk Officers, and Chief Executives on strategies to address regulatory issues and providing assurance over remediation activities and lookback investigations.
  • Leading the strategic transformation of BSA/AML Programs, leveraging IBM's leading technology products, services, and solutions related to anti-financial crime, including the application of machine learning to manage anti-financial crime processes.
  • Training Boards and senior executives on their roles in managing financial crime risks, ensuring they are equipped to make informed decisions.
  • Managing day-to-day engagement activities, working closely with clients, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality services.
  • Constructing well-founded, clear, and concise analyses and recommendations through superior writing and editing skills.
  • Utilizing your strong analytical skills to handle complex information, solve problems, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Communicating effectively with clients and across all levels of the organization, establishing and maintaining positive relationships and building high-performing teams.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • 7-8 years of experience in financial crimes compliance, preferably within banking, financial services, consulting, or a government regulatory agency.
  • A working knowledge of relevant anti-financial crime laws and regulations, including Sanctions, Terrorist Financing, and Bribery and Corruption.
  • Experience with financial crimes analytics and platforms such as Fircosoft, MANTAS, and Actimize.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • A strong reputation for integrity and ethics, with the ability to establish and maintain positive, professional relationships.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

While not mandatory, having the following qualifications will make you an even more competitive candidate:

  • A graduate degree (MBA, JD) that demonstrates your advanced knowledge and commitment to your field.
  • A relevant qualification in financial crime risk management, such as a certification from the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists (ACAMS).
