About the Role
This remote IT Systems Administrator position is a key opportunity for a skilled professional to empower breakthrough innovations, take on challenging assignments, lead initiatives, and be responsible for results. As a Systems Administrator, you will maintain essential IT infrastructure, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, cloud infrastructure, telephony, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware. You will be responsible for projects and solutions within the larger business initiative, handling business-critical IT tasks and systems that provide a commercial advantage in the global marketplace.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform server administration tasks, including user/group management, security permissions, group policies, and print services; research event-log warnings and errors; and monitor resources to ensure seamless systems architecture.
- Monitor infrastructure health using existing management tools and respond to hardware issues as they arise; help build, test, and maintain new servers when needed.
- Maintain internal infrastructure requirements, including laptop and desktop computers, servers, routers, switches, firewalls, printers, phones, security updates, and support for internet, intranet, LANs, WANs, and network segments.
- Assist PCS IT teams with troubleshooting to identify root cause and provide technical support when needed.
- Perform routine and scheduled audits of all systems, including backups.
- Support and develop local and cloud infrastructure.
- Control asset management and raise orders and requisition requests as required.
Minimum Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- An Associate or Technical College degree in information technology or computer science, or relevant on-the-job experience.
- Knowledge of Windows server administration.
- Backup Administration experience.
Preferred Qualifications

- Knowledge of Office 365 Administration.
- Knowledge of VMware Administration.
- Knowledge of VOIP Telephony (MS TEAMS).
- Knowledge of Cisco networking and administration.
- PowerShell scripting skills.
- MS Exchange Administration experience.

- IT Certifications.
- Previous experience in an IT support role.
- Previous experience supporting IT operations within an engineering, manufacturing, or related business.
