Key Responsibilities

As a Healthcare Customer Service Representative at blithequark, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in activities related to the medical and psychological aspects of utilization and coordinated care
  • Making outreach attempts via telephone to members assigned each day, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service and support
  • Consistently updating an Excel spreadsheet with member assignments listed, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records
  • Maintaining consistent communication with your supervisor, providing regular updates on your progress and any challenges you may be facing
  • Documenting each phone call in Virtual Health, ensuring accurate and timely recording of member interactions

Performance Expectations

To be successful in this role, you will be expected to meet the following performance expectations:

  • Make a high volume of outbound calls, with a target of 80-120 calls per day to the Medicare population
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of medical terminology, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a fast-paced customer service environment
  • Maintain reliable home internet connectivity with a dedicated workspace, adhering to HIPAA guidelines and ensuring the security and confidentiality of member data
  • Achieve a compliance rate of 100% for all assigned members, ensuring that all necessary interactions and documentation are completed accurately and on time
  • Maintain an engagement rate of 80% or higher per month, demonstrating your ability to effectively engage with members and deliver meaningful support
  • Achieve an audit score of a minimum of 90%, reflecting your attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality service
  • Complete a minimum of 600 members per month, with 30 new members assigned daily, demonstrating your ability to manage a high volume of work and prioritize tasks effectively

Qualifications and Skills

To be considered for this role, you will need to meet the following qualifications and skills:

  • 2-3 years of experience in a managed care setting, medical office, or facility setting, with a demonstrated understanding of medical administration duties
  • Thorough knowledge of customer service, utilization review, or claims processing practices in a managed care environment
  • Proficiency in operating office equipment, including a personal computer, and a strong understanding of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a fast-paced customer service environment
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage a high volume of work
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to deliver exceptional customer service and support to members
  • High school diploma or equivalent required

Contract Duration and Work Schedule

This is a 3-month contract with the potential to extend or convert to a permanent position. The work schedule is 8:30 am - 5:30 pm EST, Monday to Friday. Please note that time off is not permitted in the first 90 days of employment unless pre-planned during the interview process.
