Assistant Director, National Sales
Description:
• Provide exceptional client relationships to domestic locations (Walt Disney World, Disneyland Resort, Aulani)
• Drive new business to Disney Meetings & Events and other Disney portfolio products
• Secure group and convention business in designated marketplace
• Represent Disney Meetings and Events in the marketplace and within industry organizations
• Achieve established goals by building clients and accounts in designated marketplace
• Develop strategic sales plans to achieve goals
• Develop new business and grow existing accounts using direct sales activities
• Implement travel and tradeshow programs to convert business
• Promote all Disney-related products to provide solutions to clients' needs
• Report to the National Sales Director and collaborate within the National Sales Organization
• Remote, home-office based role potentially located near Washington DC, Maryland, or Virginia
Requirements:
• At least five years of Group and Convention sales experience
• Experience in collaboration, qualifying, presentations, conducting face-to-face sales calls, site visits, negotiating, overcoming obstacles, closing business, familiarization trips and trade show strategies
• Strong group industry knowledge and expertise
• Experience partnering with leaders across multiple organizations
• Experience developing and providing presentations to all levels of an organization
• Proficiency with Digital selling, virtual site visits, and Social Media technology in a sales environment
• Disciplined organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
• Experience working in a remote environment
• Flexible schedule, including business travel and working weekends
• Knowledge of computer software applications in MS Office, Seibel, Knowland, and Cvent
• National Sales experience
• Luxury brand experience
• Industry accreditation (CMP, CASE, CHSE)
• Participation in local/ regional/ national hospitality industry organization
• Preferred: At least five years of related hospitality industry experience
• Preferred: Familiarity with association and corporate customers in designated marketplace
• Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
