Experienced Senior Architect – Building Engineering Design, Construction Administration, and Project Management Leader

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Associate, Senior Architect to join our growing team. As an Associate, Senior Architect, you will provide architectural design and construction administration services from initial project inception through completion. You will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating project activities to ensure that the goals and objectives of the project are accomplished within prescribed time frames and funding parameters. Key Responsibilities
- Research, plan, design, and administer building projects for clients, applying knowledge of design, construction procedures, building codes, and materials.
- Consult with clients to determine functional and spatial requirements for new structures or renovations and summarize information regarding design, specifications, color, equipment, furnishings, estimated costs, and construction time.
- Develop building and site designs, including the evaluation of alternative building materials, building systems, and equipment, based on program, budget, and aesthetics.
- Present and explain design projects to clients and other team representatives.
- Coordinate all components that will comprise the building project, including site, interiors, structural, and MEPFP disciplines, and integrate these elements into a unified design.
- Produce and coordinate drawings, specifications, reports, cost estimates, and other documents during the design process in accordance with established quality standards.
- Coordinate and prepare submittals at appropriate intervals during the design process for submission and review with the client.
- Assist the client in filing documents for government approvals and permits.
- Assist the client in obtaining competitive bids or negotiated proposals and take an active role during construction administration to represent, advise, and consult with the client.
- Assist the Owner in the organized close-out of the project, including final site observation and development of punch lists, certificates of completion, coordination, and preparation of record drawings and other closeout documents.
- Maintain an organized project file documenting the entire design and construction process.
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree (BA) from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum of 8+ years of experience in architectural design and construction administration.
- Registration Required; NCARB Desired.
- Diversified market experience, with government and/or healthcare experience desired.
- Broad exposure to a variety of building types, construction, and project delivery methods.
- Proficient to Advanced in Revit (current version 2025) and Intermediate to Proficient in AutoCAD.
- Developing specifications utilizing MasterSpec Format.
- Proficiency in report writing and design analysis narratives.
- Ability to edit PDF documents in Bluebeam desired.
- General support software skills include Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft OneDrive, Microsoft Construct (BIM 360), and Microsoft Teams.
- Enscape or similar 3D modeling software experience desired.
- Experience in Federal projects requiring UFGS criteria desired.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Architecture or a related field.
- LEED AP or other sustainable design certifications.
- Experience with building information modeling (BIM) and computer-aided design (CAD) software.
- Strong communication and project management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
