Job Summary

As a Call Center Representative at Walgreens, you will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, handling high-volume customer requests, and providing exceptional service to patients and customers. You will utilize our pharmacy systems to access patient and medication data, process prescriptions, and resolve customer issues. This is a full-time remote opportunity with a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform patient enrollment and information section tasks in accordance with state and government guidelines.
  • Handle high-volume customer requests, working under direct management, and resolve customer issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Utilize Walgreens's pharmacy systems to access patient and medication data, process prescriptions, and resolve customer issues.
  • Investigate and resolve missing prescription data, and decipher clinical abbreviations (SIG codes).
  • Handle correspondence to patients (inbound calls, visits, messages) and settle outbound decisions to prescribers and patients on a case-by-case basis.
  • Resolve Outsider Oddballs by surveying, gathering data, making remedies, and resubmitting for handling as indicated by individual arrangement necessities.
  • Provide support to pharmacists, both those in the office and those in different areas, and identify and communicate issues to senior-level staff as suitable.

Essential Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic computer skills, including typing, using a mouse, and accessing data online.
  • Intermediate-level keyboarding skills (at least 25 WPM, typing by memory, organizing files).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • 18 years old or older.
  • Ability to obtain a valid pharmacist license or certification within the first 90 days of employment and maintain an active professional license or certification.

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of pharmacy technician experience in a retail or call center environment.
  • At least 1.5 years as a pharmacy technician with a state-recognized certification or nationally recognized certification.
  • Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers, including meeting quality standards for services and assessment of customer satisfaction.
  • Intermediate to advanced-level keyboarding skills (at least 35 WPM, typing by memory, organizing files).
  • Bilingual (Spanish and English).
