Position Overview
We're looking for a seasoned CAPPS Financials and HR Specialist to review and assist with the development of additional queries for our Financial Staff. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-divisional executives, directors, and other stakeholders to review TCAPPS business system configuration, lead query development, and design, test, and build queries to support business process improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Query Development: Design, test, and build queries to assist with business process improvement and support the Financial Staff in retrieving meaningful information from the CAPPS System.
- Business Process Improvement: Coordinate the development of additional reports and/or queries as needed, and assist with re-engineering or developing processes necessary for efficient use of the CAPPS Financial system.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with business customers to gather requirements for system and/or process improvements and report development.
- Documentation and Testing: Prepare detailed documentation in support of activities listed above, as requested by management, and complete full-range testing as needed.
- All-Activity Query Logic: Utilize expertise in All-Activity Query Logic in CAPPS to drive query development and system optimization.
Requirements and Qualifications
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you should possess the following essential qualifications:
- Experience with CAPPS: 10 years of experience with CAPPS Business Process Design/Redesign/Reengineering best practices, CAPPS Financials/PeopleSoft in Texas, and Query and Reporting Development with CAPPS.
- Business Analysis: 10 years of experience with Business/System/Data Analysis and Improvement.
- Reporting Mechanisms: 10 years of experience with the development of various reporting mechanisms.
- Technical Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Windows and Office products.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- CAPPS Modules: 10 years of experience with CAPPS GL, Commitment Control, Purchasing, E-Procurement, AP, Cash Receipts, Inv, Assets, and Grants.
- All-Activity Query Logic: 5 years of experience with All-Activity Query Logic in CAPPS.
Work Arrangement and Benefits
This is a part-time, remote position, requiring 15-20 hours of work per week during CST business hours. The successful candidate will be expected to work from a remote location within the United States, preferably in the Austin region, as occasional in-person meetings may be required.
