Job Overview

The Fleet Mobility Lead will be responsible for the daily management and oversight of our fleet operations, ensuring that our vehicles are safe, operational, and running at optimal levels. As a Fleet Mobility Lead, you will be working closely with our drivers, fleet suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure that our fleet operations are running smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support our drivers with fleet-related queries and liaise with our fleet suppliers to ensure our fleet remains safe and operational at all times.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure any changes are communicated with the relevant parties.
  • Manage daily on-road fleet performance, leading Arqiva vehicle off-road through accident management, proactive servicing, and repairs.
  • Manage the accident and maintenance approvals of any repairs needed across the fleet and work closely with suppliers to reduce vehicle downtime.
  • Facilitate daily hire car process, governance adherence, and user experience. Lead on Hire Car sustainability initiatives.
  • Review data and insights to make recommendations on fleet performance for optimal vehicle on-road performance.
  • Support BNV users for servicing, repairs, and issues that require escalation with the fleet provider/s.
  • Manage and facilitate all towable equipment, ensuring legal and user compliance, including maintenance.
  • Manage fuel card lifecycle relationship, process, ordering, usage, and cancelling.
  • Oversee all fines for speeding, traffic zones, and parking, and ensure these are managed for recovery of costs.
  • Ensure all accurate data and governance for fleet drivers for licence checks.
  • Facilitate accurate reporting for payroll/HMRC obligations for company and user.
  • Ensure invoicing and PO requisitions for fleet.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Fleet management experience, although not essential, would be highly desirable.
  • Effective communication skills, able to engage, listen, and provide feedback and guidance at all levels, both internally and externally with suppliers.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, able to prioritize multiple tasks of varying size over varied timescales.
  • Able to take initiative, act with confidence, and work under own initiative.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and able to interpret and manipulate multiple data sources to extract key data for decision-making.
  • Good proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel in particular).

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following qualifications would be highly advantageous:

  • Experience working in a similar role, preferably in the transportation or logistics industry.
  • A strong understanding of fleet management principles, including vehicle maintenance, accident management, and driver management.
  • Familiarity with fleet management software and systems.
  • A degree in a relevant field, such as business administration, logistics, or transportation management.
