Key Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming calls from customers and provide timely, effective support
  • Review customer history as necessary to understand their travel plans and preferences
  • Follow policy and procedure guidelines to ensure consistency and quality in customer interactions
  • Assist customers with changing travel plans, confirming or obtaining their itinerary, and processing refunds
  • Help customers solve travel issues, such as resolving booking errors or addressing travel disruptions
  • Place outbound calls to travel partners (hotels, rental car agencies, etc.) as necessary to resolve customer issues
  • Document information and outcomes accurately to ensure seamless follow-up and issue resolution

About You

To succeed as a Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you'll need to possess a unique blend of skills, experience, and personal qualities. Here's what we're looking for:

Essential Qualifications

  • Prior customer service experience, preferably in a travel-related industry
  • Strong geographical knowledge to effectively assist customers with travel plans
  • Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on delivering personalized support
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in customer interactions and issue resolution
  • Excellent listening and communication skills to effectively understand and address customer needs
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to resolve complex customer issues
  • Ability to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Strong typing skills and proficiency in using the internet and navigating multiple applications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in the travel industry or personal experience using travel products
  • Demonstrated empathy and ability to effectively understand and address customer concerns
  • Self-directed and able to organize, prioritize, anticipate situations, act, and see issues through to completion
