Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC), a state-of-the-art 456-bed university-affiliated teaching medical center, is seeking an experienced and dedicated Process Improvement Coordinator to join its dynamic team of professionals in the Department of Patient Safety. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in organizing, planning, implementing, coordinating, and maintaining process improvement programs designed to increase efficiency and decrease waste in workflow and system processes.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will report to the Healthcare Program Administrator for Quality and Performance Improvement and assist in leading a team of professional and support staff tasked with the development and implementation of regulatory and performance improvement activities. This is an exceptional opportunity to work in a fast-paced and rewarding environment, collaborating with administrators, managers, executive sponsors, and other process owners to evaluate existing processes and systems in support of organizational strategic plans and priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and interpret performance data, preparing and presenting statistical and executive reports, and making recommendations to drive process improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to address them.
  • Provide training and ongoing development opportunities to new staff, as well as staff development and educational tools for managers and staff throughout the hospital.
  • Coordinate and plan process improvement group events, ensuring effective communication and stakeholder engagement.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including administrators, managers, and executive sponsors, to ensure alignment and support for process improvement initiatives.

Essential Qualifications

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you will need to possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Public or Business Administration, or a closely related or relevant field.
  • Three (3) years of experience performing regulatory, quality management, or performance improvement activities in an acute care hospital.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and develop effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

Desired Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Five (5) years of experience working in an acute care hospital, performing quality management, program planning, and evaluation of policy development in a safety department.
  • Experience with process improvement methodologies, such as Lean or Six Sigma.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to motivate and direct teams to achieve exceptional results.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and accreditation standards, with experience in developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
