About the Role
The Manager of Strategic Relationship Management is a senior leadership position that requires a unique blend of strategic thinking, business acumen, and interpersonal skills. You'll be responsible for leading innovative account management strategies, growing non-transactional revenue, and deepening client relationships within a portfolio of global multi-national accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategic account plans to drive growth, profitability, and client satisfaction
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their business needs and identifying opportunities to add value
- Lead cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions, leveraging Amex GBT's value proposition and technology
- Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and client needs to inform strategic decision-making
- Drive revenue growth through consultative selling, premium revenue, and new business opportunities
- Manage and optimize client profitability, including pricing strategies and cost management
- Lead business planning, C-Level executive reviews, quarterly and annual reviews, and business negotiations
- Enhance the Amex GBT value proposition through policy consultation, research, and technology road mapping
What We're Looking For
We're seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional with a proven track record in global account management, client relationship management, and revenue growth. The ideal candidate will possess:
Essential Qualifications:
- 5+ years of global account/client management experience with strong proven people leadership skills
- Travel industry experience is strongly preferred
- Previous customer/client-facing experience and client relationship management skills with global clients
- Proven track record of delivering a data-driven, analytical approach to client travel programs
- Consultative selling skills, with demonstrated success growing client revenue and profitability
- Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills, with the ability to present complex ideas to C-Suite executives
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous global service delivery/account implementations experience
- Proven innovative problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills
- Strong negotiation skills, including the ability to handle objections and achieve mutually beneficial solutions
- Experience with RFP management and negotiations
- Proficient and comfortable with using various software platforms, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Salesforce

Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive compensation package, including:
- A salary range of $70,000 to $140,000, depending on experience and location
- Annual Incentive Award plan or Sales Incentive Plans
- Equity Incentive Plan, designed to align participants' interests with those of shareholders
