About Our Company and the Role

Key Autism Services has been serving families since 2014, offering a range of programs and services tailored to the unique needs of children and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder and related conditions. Our team of experts works collaboratively with individuals, families, and other professionals to provide personalized support and guidance. As a Children's Autism Therapist with our team, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our clients, working closely with our Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to implement Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy and counseling programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one (1:1) in-home Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy to children on the autism spectrum
  • Collect behavior and skill acquisition data during sessions to inform treatment plans
  • Conduct discrete trials, implement behavior support, and treatment plans under the guidance of a BCBA Supervisor
  • Collaborate with BCBA Supervisors to implement basic principles and teaching procedures of ABA therapy
  • Respond to the needs and requests of clients, their families, and supervisors in a professional and timely manner
  • Maintain a goal-oriented approach and uphold professionalism in all aspects of your work
  • Arrive on time and be prepared for therapy sessions, demonstrating a commitment to reliability and responsibility

Essential and Preferred Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A High School diploma or GED
  • At least 1 year of experience working with children in a 1:1 setting
  • 1 year of ABA experience, or 1-2 years of experience as a Special Education Assistant, Paraprofessional, Direct Support Professional, Medical Assistant, Autism Experience, Teacher's Assistant, or ABA Tutor in a school or home setting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A personal means of transportation with a reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, and clean driving record
  • The ability to lift up to 35lbs and perform activities that entail fine and gross motor skills, bend, kneel, squat, sit on floor level or in a chair, or stand for periods of time

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Certification
  • Experience using a Cognitive Behavior Intervention Plan with youth and families
