As an Early Intervention Behavior Technician with our Accelerated Program and paid training, you'll have the opportunity to work with younger children on the autism spectrum, implementing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy and counseling programs under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

Key Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one (1:1) in-home Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy to children on the autism spectrum
• Collect behavior and skill acquisition data during sessions to inform treatment plans
• Conduct discrete trials, implement behavior support, and treatment plans under the supervision of a BCBA
• Work collaboratively with a BCBA Supervisor to implement basic principles and teaching procedures of ABA therapy
• Be responsive to the needs and requests of clients, their families, and supervisors
• Maintain professionalism in all aspects of your work, including arriving on time and being prepared for therapy sessions

Essential and Preferred Qualifications

To be successful as an Early Intervention Behavior Technician with Key Autism Services, you'll need:

• A Bachelor's Degree or be working towards your degree in a related field (Psychology, Education, or Sociology)
• Experience working with children for 1 year in a 1:1 setting (direct ABA experience preferred, but not required)
• If no direct ABA experience, 1-2 years of experience working as a Special Education Assistant, Paraprofessional, Direct Support Professional, Medical Assistant, Autism Experience, Teacher's Assistant, or ABA Tutor in a school or home setting
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, and clean driving record
• Ability to lift up to 35lbs and perform activities that entail fine and gross motor skills, bend, kneel, squat, sit on floor level or in a chair, or stand for periods of time

Preferred Skills and Competencies

• Experience using a Cognitive Behavior Intervention Plan with youth and families
• Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Ability to respond quickly in short distances (100 feet) in response to the movements and behaviors of children
• Willingness and ability to work in both indoor and outdoor settings
