Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat psychiatric patients using evidence-based care
- Prescribe medications and psychotherapeutic treatments for mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders
- Conduct outpatient appointments with 60-minute new and 30-minute follow-up schedules
- Collaborate with primary care providers, specialists, social workers, and therapists to provide comprehensive care
- Utilize Epic electronic medical record system with dedicated behavioral health templates
- Participate in telemedicine opportunities to expand your reach and provide care to a broader patient base
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:
- Medical degree (MD or DO)
- Current unrestricted Texas medical licensure
- Board certification within 3 years of experience
- Valid prescriptive license required
