Our team of over 400 employees works tirelessly to provide exceptional care across our 231 licensed Skilled Nursing Facility beds, 56 licensed Assisted Living beds, and 62 Transitional care beds in partnership with Providence Regional Medical Center. Job Summary

As a Part Time Accounts Receivable Business Office Assistant, you will play a vital role in our accounting and administration team. You will provide administrative support, ensuring accurate and timely billing and collection services, while maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations. Your expertise in medical billing, Medicaid, and Medicare will be invaluable in securing DSHS Award Letters and maintaining our facility's EMR system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide accurate and timely billing and collection services, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Assist the Director of Revenue Management with accounts receivable functions, including claim follow-up and documentation
  • Secure DSHS Award Letters for Medicaid residents and maintain the facility's EMR system
  • Upload chart documents electronically, as they pertain to the Business Office
  • Maintain databases necessary for the organization to function properly
  • Ensure excellent tact and diplomacy in dealing with clients, including residents, families, and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrate outstanding attention to detail and excellent time management skills
  • Maintain confidentiality and protect Personal Healthcare Information (PHI)

Requirements and Qualifications:

Essential Qualifications:

  • High school graduate or GED equivalent
  • Minimum of two years of experience working in an accounts receivable capacity, preferably in a healthcare or nursing home environment
  • Knowledge of federal and state regulations/laws concerning accounts receivable and reimbursement issues
  • Understanding of and ability to deal with confidential information with discretion
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Reliable and punctual attendance for scheduled hours

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with medical billing and Medicaid/Medicare in Washington state
  • Familiarity with EMR systems and medical terminology
  • Certification in medical billing or a related field
