About the position
Responsibilities
• Sets up respiratory and PAP therapy equipment.
• Monitors patient compliance with therapy.
• Communicates with physicians and serves as a resource on PAP therapy.
• Participates in process improvement initiatives and resolves patient issues.
• Adapts behavior to the specific patient population, ensuring respect for privacy and effective communication.
Requirements
• Associates degree in Science or related field.
• Graduate of an AMA-approved school of respiratory therapy.
• Current valid state license/certification as a Certified Respiratory Therapist.
• BLS - Basic Life Support Certification through American Heart Association.
• Computer skills for data entry and retrieval of patient information.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Nice-to-haves
• Experience with Positive Airway Pressure (PAP) therapy (CPAP or BIPAP).
• Fluency in other language(s).
