Job Overview

The Remote Contact Center Chat Representative will serve as a primary point of contact for our members, providing support and resolution on a wide range of topics, including debit cards, disputes, deposits, transfers, and more. This role is a one-stop shop for our members, and the ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced, sales-oriented environment. As a Remote Contact Center Chat Representative, you will be responsible for efficiently and effectively answering member inquiries, solving problems, and assisting with transactions and lending inquiries through digital channels, including email, web and mobile messaging, chat, and text.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to our members through various digital channels, including chat, email, and text.
  • Efficiently and effectively answer member inquiries, solve problems, and assist with transactions and lending inquiries.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for all online products and services, including Online Banking, Bill Pay, Mobile Deposit, External Transfers, Online Account Opening, and Mobile Banking.
  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of blithequark's products and services, including deposit accounts, loans, and credit cards.
  • Cross-sell blithequark products and services to meet the unique needs of our members.
  • Open and close deposit accounts, including checking, savings, and money market accounts.
  • Provide support to ensure online membership applications are completed and submitted in a timely manner.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a customer service position, preferably in a financial services environment.
  • Excellent oral, written, and telephone communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with members through various digital channels.
  • Strong problem-solving and member service skills, with the ability to resolve complex issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to meet the requirements for our Telecommuting Program, including a dedicated workspace, secure and strong internet connection, and an environment free from loud noises or outside distractions.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following preferred qualifications will be considered an asset:

  • Experience working in a remote or virtual environment, with the ability to work independently and manage your time effectively.
  • Knowledge of financial services products and services, including deposit accounts, loans, and credit cards.
  • Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software and other technology platforms.
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with members who speak languages other than English.
