Position Title: Virtual Child & Adolescent Mental Health Therapist
Employment Type: Contract
Location: Remote/Virtual
Reports To: Program Manager
We are seeking a compassionate and licensed Mental Health Therapist specializing in children and adolescents to join our virtual therapy team. The therapist will provide evidence-based, age-appropriate therapeutic services to support emotional, behavioral, and mental health needs. This role involves conducting telehealth sessions, developing treatment plans, collaborating with families and schools when appropriate, and ensuring compliance with ethical and professional standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide individual, group, and/or family therapy to children and adolescents via a secure telehealth platform.
• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, diagnose, and create individualized treatment plans.
• Use evidence-based therapeutic modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, play therapy, trauma-informed care) tailored to youth.
• Engage parents/guardians in treatment planning and provide education on child and adolescent mental health.
• Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, primary care providers, educators, and other professionals when appropriate.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential clinical documentation in compliance with organizational, state, and federal guidelines.
• Participate in clinical supervision, team meetings, and professional development activities.
• Stay informed on best practices, cultural competence, and emerging trends in child & adolescent mental health.
Qualifications
• Master’s degree or higher in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, or related field.
• Current, active MARYLAND state license (LMSW, LCSW-C, LGPC, LCPC, LMFT) le.]
• Specialized experience working with children, adolescents, and families.
• Strong knowledge of developmental psychology, trauma, behavioral health, and family systems.
• Experience providing therapy via telehealth platforms preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality, and manage a virtual caseload effectively.

Pay: $50.00 - $130.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 10 per week
