Program Management Director - Aviation
About the position
Responsibilities
• Manage or provide oversight on a portfolio of projects or capital programs of significant size and complexity.
• Ensure contract performance, including safety, financial management, and project quality management.
• Organize and execute programs and sub-programs to fulfill customer requirements consistently.
• Hold regular Aviation Program Managers Forum meetings and ensure frequent communication among program managers.
• Work within five performance domains: program strategy alignment, benefits management, stakeholder engagement, life cycle management, and program governance.
• Prepare and deliver presentations on behalf of the client's program.
• Act as the single point of contact to the client and liaise between management and clients on advanced program-related issues.
• Interact with executive-level government or public officials and clients on significant program matters.
• Assess and manage risk on behalf of the client.
• Promote equity, diversity, and inclusion, ESG, and innovation within the Aviation practice.
• Collaborate with senior leadership on driving initiatives in the Aviation practice.
• Support the growth team in developing annual targets and goals for Aviation.
• Lead recruitment and retention efforts for the Aviation team.
• Support the capture process for key pursuits in Aviation.
• Manage client account programs for key clients in Aviation.
• Organize civic engagement activities and manage business development budgets.
• Potentially serve as project manager and principal on key Aviation projects.
• Attend events and conferences and serve on committees as needed.
• Coordinate with internal resources to promote market sector growth.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 2 years of leadership.
Nice-to-haves
• Experience in program management services and business development with strong relationships with Aviation clients in the US.
• Strong understanding of best practices in program management services.
• Team-oriented with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
• Ability to communicate problems clearly to clients, leadership, and technical staff.
• Ability to balance various project and company responsibilities while maintaining professionalism.
