Remote Video Monitor Technician
About the position
Responsibilities
• Provide constant patient observation and monitoring of assigned high risk patients.
• Observe more than one patient at a time at the monitoring station.
• Verbally redirect patients from engaging in identifiable risk behaviors.
• Notify the unit nursing team through communication devices or alarms if immediate assistance is required.
• Utilize technology for visualization and interventions for safe patient care.
• Demonstrate understanding and proficiency of electronic systems for Remote Video Monitoring.
• Identify variances and initiate follow-up actions.
• Document patient data.
• Serve in a supportive roving tech role to maintain patient and team member safety.
Requirements
• High School Graduate or Equivalent.
• No experience required; relevant experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Licensure: Certified Nurse Aide, Certified Health Emergency Medical Technician, Certified Personal Care Aide, or student nurse who has completed the 1st year of nursing fundamentals.
• American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.
