About the Role: Customer Service Representative
As a Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you will be the primary interface for our members, handling incoming inquiries via phone, written correspondence, fax, web, and electronic mail. You'll serve as a member advocate, building trust and providing expert guidance through the complex world of insurance. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring that our members receive the best possible service, and you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in their lives.
Key Responsibilities
- Interface with customers via various channels to address inquiries and resolve issues.
- Research customer information using appropriate systems, policies, and procedures to provide effective solutions.
- Escalate sensitive customer requests when necessary to ensure prompt resolution.
- Comply with State and Federal regulations and stay updated on changing policies and procedures.
- Remain current on knowledge of diverse products and proactively recommend items to increase customer satisfaction.
Essential Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- At least three years of experience in a complaint-type customer service office setting (health insurance or related field preferred).
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Availability for a 9-12 week training program.
Preferred Qualifications
The strongest candidates will also possess:
- Basic medical/dental terminology knowledge.
- Contract interpretation skills.

Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive compensation package, including:
- A salary of $39,520 annually.
- A comprehensive benefits package, with health benefits effective the first of the month following your start date.

Training and Work Schedule
Our training program is designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in this role. The program will run for 9-12 weeks, with live virtual training sessions from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm (Central Time Zone) Monday to Friday. After training, you'll be expected to work an 8.5-hour shift between 7:30 am and 6:00 pm (Central Time Zone) Monday to Friday.
