About the Role
As a Provider Customer Service Call and Chat Representative, you'll be the advocate for healthcare providers, resolving their queries and concerns through phone calls and concurrent chats. Your primary focus will be on delivering exceptional service, ensuring timely and effective resolution of issues related to benefits, eligibility, billing, payments, clinical authorizations, and behavioral health.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for healthcare providers, demonstrating accountability and ownership in resolving their issues.
- Handle multiple channels, including phone calls and concurrent chats, to provide timely and effective support to providers.
- Triage contacts from healthcare professionals, identifying their needs and resolving issues in a timely and efficient manner.
- Research and dissect complex prior authorization and claim issues, taking appropriate steps to resolve identified issues and prevent repeat calls or escalations.
- Collaborate with internal partners to ensure issues are resolved and thoroughly communicated to providers in a timely manner.
- Utilize multitasking skills to navigate multiple systems, extracting necessary information to resolve and avoid issues across various lines of business and provider types.
- Influence providers to utilize self-service digital tools, aiding in faster resolution and navigation.
What We're Looking For
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
Essential Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or equivalent work experience.
- At least 1 year of customer service experience, with a proven track record of analyzing and solving customer concerns.
- Proficiency in computer and Windows PC applications, with the ability to navigate and learn new and complex computer system applications.
- A typing speed of 35-40 WPM with an accuracy of 90%.
- Availability to work a full-time (40 hours/week) schedule, with flexibility to work any 8-hour shift between 9 AM - 5:30 PM CST, Monday - Friday.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a related environment, such as a call center or customer service role, using phones and computers as primary job tools.
- Prior healthcare experience and knowledge of healthcare terminology.
Telecommuting Requirements
To work remotely, you'll need:
- To reside within the state of Tennessee.
- A dedicated work area that is separate from other living areas and provides information privacy.
