Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Customer Service Specialist to join our team, working from home on a full-time basis. As a Customer Service Specialist, you will be responsible for processing travel insurance policies, handling customer enquiries, and providing exceptional customer service. You will work in a fast-paced environment, using multiple systems simultaneously, and will be required to adhere to strict regulatory guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process travel insurance policies for blithequark customers, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
  • Handle customer enquiries regarding their travel insurance policies, providing clear and concise information
  • Deal with complex medical queries, screening customers' medical conditions, and providing solutions
  • Adhere to mandatory call scripts on all calls, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines
  • Use multiple systems simultaneously, demonstrating proficiency in navigating PC systems
  • Own and handle FCA regulated complaints through to completion, ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Identify and record vulnerability, providing patient, empathetic, and supportive service
  • Comply with strict FCA regulations around compliance, with a key focus on customer protection

Essential Qualifications

  • Comprehensive experience within a customer service environment, preferably in the insurance industry
  • Proficient in using/navigating PC systems within a fast-paced environment
  • Fantastic verbal/communication skills, with the ability to establish collaborative customer relationships
  • Strong written skills, with attention to detail and ability to show empathy and understanding
  • Professional and friendly manner, with a positive attitude and ability to interact with lots of different people
  • Good, consistent typing speed, with ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in handling complex medical queries and screening customers' medical conditions
  • Knowledge of FCA regulations and compliance guidelines
  • Experience in working with multiple systems simultaneously
  • Previous experience in a work-from-home environment, with ability to maintain a professional working environment
