About the Role

The Customer Service Agent is a pivotal role that involves interacting with clients in a courteous, professional, and efficient manner. As a representative of blithequark, you'll be the face of our company, providing top-notch service that exceeds client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Issue, reissue, and discount traveler tickets, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
  • Book, ticket, and confirm flight reservations, handling client requests with precision and care.
  • Rebook travelers on oversold flights and during irregular operations, demonstrating adaptability and problem-solving skills.
  • Perform traveler check-in and front seat assignment, correct oversold seat assignments, and issue updates, ensuring a seamless travel experience.
  • Issue vouchers or coordinate with vendors for traveler accommodations, meals, and transportation, showcasing your ability to multitask and prioritize.
  • Work gate reader/scanner and related duties, including pre-boarding, monitoring/checking carry-on items, and gate line management.
  • Make boarding and flight gate announcements, conveying important information to travelers in a clear and concise manner.
  • Deliver domestic/international flight manifests, perform passenger service flight close-out procedures, and accept, check, and tag travelers' baggage.
  • Maintain a schedule of flight check-in processes, ensuring timely and efficient service delivery.
  • Process and complete credit card transactions at stands in the ticket counter area and activation stations.
  • Assist travelers with self-service stand check-in and kiosk bag handling at ticket counters, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Clear/verify international documents at kiosks in the ticket counter area and activation stations, adhering to regulatory requirements.
  • Help clients requiring special assistance or in-station, including boarding, deplaning, and handling non-ambulatory travelers, unaccompanied minors, or special needs travelers.
  • Perform client support work related to handling codeshare flights and contractor/ground handling arrangements or agreements.
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance on-site, including fulfilling any mandatory overtime requirements.
  • Respond and assist during security or emergency circumstances, demonstrating composure and professionalism under pressure.
  • Provide connecting travelers with gate information, ensuring they have the necessary details for a smooth journey.
  • Deliver quality client service in a professional manner and in accordance with blithequark's guidelines.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and performance standards, continually striving for excellence.
  • Complete job-applicable stages of training, staying up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
  • Comply with regulations (e.g., DOT, FAA, TSA), ensuring that our operations are always within legal and regulatory frameworks.
  • Utilize various internal resources/systems, including during client interactions, to provide accurate and efficient service.
  • Wear uniform as required by company policy, representing blithequark with pride.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher, demonstrating a commitment to education and personal development.
  • Bilingual language abilities expected in certain locations, highlighting the importance of communication and cultural understanding.
  • Relevant valid driver's license as required by local authorities, where applicable.
  • Must satisfy FAA criminal history records check to qualify for unescorted access privileges to airport security identification display areas (SIDA), if applicable.
  • Must be able to obtain appropriate airport authority or US Customs security identifications, if relevant.
  • Completion of a pre-employment drug screen, comprehensive background check, or fingerprinting to fulfill company and security requirements.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S., ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of Sabre or other Passenger Service Systems, providing a foundation for efficient service delivery.
  • Previous face-to-face Customer service experience, demonstrating an ability to interact effectively with clients.
  • Experience working in a high-speed environment, showcasing adaptability and the ability to thrive under pressure.
