Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Customer Service Representative – Commercial Lines Insurance Specialist I to join our team at Blithequark. As a key member of our insurance services team, you will be responsible for writing new business and servicing existing clients, requiring excellent organizational, communication, and technical skills. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a assigned book of renewal business and create new business to drive revenue growth and expand our client base.
  • Obtain underwriting information, prepare applications and specifications for renewal and new business, and qualify and analyze client's coverage needs and loss exposure.
  • Recommend and inform clients about policy inclusions, limitations, and terms, and secure all placement subjectivities by obtaining signed documentation and collecting premiums.
  • Provide renewal quotes and account rounding opportunities, communicate coverage terms and conditions of quotes to clients, and engage in daily virtual client interaction through impactful communication across phone, webinars, emails, and PowerPoint.
  • Educate and consult prospects on coverages that are available and appropriate for their business needs, and review existing policies and endorsements to request changes to the renewal underwriter.
  • Prepare schedules of insurance, D. cards, binders, certificates of insurance, and issue finance agreements, and maintain accurate records and client information.
  • Return phone calls and respond to e-mails in a timely manner, follow up on policy audits related to worker's compensation, general liability, etc., and maintain accounts in Client Portal (Insurlink).
  • Set status to active/inactive and send invites to access portal to clients, update team members via email, etc., and collaborate with internal stakeholders to achieve business objectives.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 3 years of customer service experience in the insurance industry.
  • Valid Property and Casualty License (P&C) and provide copy for verification.
  • Prior position as an Associate Customer Service Representative or similar role.
  • Ability to read policies and break down complex information into clear and concise terms.
  • An understanding of the appropriate markets and their relative business model.
  • Possess a sense of urgency and ownership when dealing with clients and prospects.
  • Ability to actively listen, give full attention to what other people are saying, taking the time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Attention to accuracy and detail in processing and data entry.
  • Ability to differentiate between agency bill clients and direct bill clients and the servicing needs of each.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and act with a sense of urgency.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, effectively, and concisely, both orally and in writing.
  • Excellent time management, planning, and organization skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Good knowledge of company products and solutions.
  • Embrace change with the willingness to continue learning and developing.
  • Collaborate, cooperate, and share knowledge with working team members.
  • Strong work ethic and flexible to work within the designated work schedule as business needs change (i.e., late night, weekends, holidays).
  • Knowledge of how to use Agency Management System, experience with AMS360.
  • Strong data entry skills with accuracy and ability to navigate among multiple systems.
  • Proficient in Windows-based computer applications (Microsoft Office; Excel, Word, and Outlook) and internal systems such as NewTracker, Pipeline Manager, Benefit Point, ImageRight.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $50,000 to $60,000 per year. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including:
