As a Patient Care Advocate, you will be an integral part of our team, working closely with our members, providers, and physicians to ensure that they receive the support and resources they need.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle inbound and outbound calls from members, providers, and physicians, responding to questions and concerns related to pharmacy benefits.
  • Research and resolve problems in a timely manner, utilizing our computerized system to gather information and respond to questions.
  • Assist members in understanding and maximizing the use of their pharmacy distribution program, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Document issues and resolutions in a common database, ensuring accurate and complete records of all inquiries.
  • Escalate issues as necessary, identifying and addressing concerns received from patients and/or clients in a prudent and timely manner.
  • Collaborate with other operational departments to research and resolve mail order and claims issues, responding to members within performance agreement guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate and complete documentation of all inquiries, continuously improving the customer service process and reducing potential legal concerns.
  • Adhere to quality and production standards, complying with all applicable company, state, and federal safety regulations.
  • Perform other duties as needed, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced remote work environment.

Essential Qualifications

Preferred Experience

  • 1 year of experience in a call center environment, preferably in a customer service role.
  • 1 year of experience in customer service, with a strong understanding of customer needs and concerns.

Skills and Competencies

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with members, providers, physicians, and internal and external clients.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to research and resolve complex issues in a timely manner.
  • Proficiency in using computerized systems to gather information and respond to questions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced remote environment, with a high level of productivity and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Compassionate and empathetic approach to customer service, with a strong commitment to delivering exceptional support and resources to members.
