Job Summary

We're seeking a part-time Customer Support Agent to work remotely for 8 hours a day, earning a competitive hourly rate of $27. As a Customer Support Agent, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, handling customer inquiries, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide friendly and courteous service to all internal and external customers, ensuring a positive association with blithequark.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the smooth operation of our organization.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to individuals traveling, using freight or baggage services, by addressing their needs and concerns.
  • Handle all aspects of ticketing and registration, including working with a modernized retail point-of-sale system, boarding, baggage services, reservations, and resolving related grievances and issues.
  • Greet and interact with customers in a considerate and courteous manner, handling cash, checks, credit cards, travel vouchers, and coupons as forms of payment for tickets.
  • Calculate charges, make change, and balance daily transactions, assuming responsibility for overage or shortage.
  • Check in baggage and freight, answer phone inquiries to provide information to guests, page customers, resolve issues or objections, and assist on a case-by-case basis.
  • Manage exchanges required to load the aircraft in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Handle misused customers due to oversells, delayed or canceled flights, lost, delayed, or damaged baggage, resolving such issues promptly and within established company rules.
  • Provide current and accurate flight information, schedules, reservations, and flight arrival/departure data, answering general inquiries from customers and other airport guests.
  • Complete forms and reports as required by blithequark.
  • Compose anomaly and objection reports as needed.

Requirements and Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
  • Ability to type and utilize a PC keyboard with sufficient speed to meet job demands.
  • Strong understanding of records, ability to follow instructions, learn and comprehend ticketing procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work under stressful circumstances.
  • Ability to successfully complete the Customer Support Agent training program with an 80% or higher average and assessment period.
  • Awareness of hazardous situations and ability to handle emergencies on a case-by-case basis.
  • Ability to work under close time constraints to achieve fast turns of aircraft.
  • Well-groomed appearance, understanding of the Ground Operations Employee Handbook and Work Arrangement.
  • Ability to perform all job functions within a confined space.
  • Effective verbal communication skills, including phone, in-person, and public address systems.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to impart information and instructions verbally or through radio equipment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in customer service or a related field.
  • Familiarity with airline operations, ticketing systems, and customer service software.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
