About the Project
The project aims to utilize data and human-centered design to develop insights into the current adjudication process, identifying opportunities for business process improvement. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of projects, applying strategic information planning, business process reengineering, and structure and management practices to ensure the program's success. Your expertise in identifying and mitigating risks, managing cost, schedule, and performance, will be essential in delivering high-quality results.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of projects, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery of high-quality results
 - Apply strategic information planning, business process reengineering, and structure and management practices to drive program success
 - Identify and mitigate risks to the program, developing and implementing effective risk management strategies
 - Manage cost, schedule, and performance, ensuring alignment with program goals and objectives
 - Collaborate with senior-level management, stakeholders, subject matter experts, and business partners to ensure effective communication and stakeholder engagement
 - Manage project scope on a large scale, organizing, directing, and managing contract operations involving multiple complex and inter-related project tasks
 
Requirements and Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A Master's Degree + 8 years of experience or 10 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education
 - At least 8 years of Project/Program Management experience with complex communications programs
 - Project Management Institute Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
 - Experience in successfully managing agency-wide change management and/or strategic communication engagements
 - 10+ years of project management experience, with a preference for experience within the Department of Veterans Affairs
 - Certified project management professional (PMP)
 - Experience managing projects associated with the utilization of government health care data
 - Well-versed in software development lifecycles (SDLC) and project management methodologies
 
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing large government system implementation projects, with a focus on cost, schedule, and performance management
 - Proficiency in collaborating and communicating with senior-level management, stakeholders, subject matter experts, and business partners
 - Experience managing project scope on a large scale, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results
