About the Role

The Part-Time Remote Teaching Assistant will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of live online classes, promoting student success, and upholding the high standards of our organization. As a Part-Time Remote Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the Lead Teacher in the development and delivery of live online classes, as well as providing administrative support and customer service to students, parents, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of live online classes, performing duties as assigned by the Lead Teacher
  • Engage in regular communication with the Live Online Class (LOC) department, including attending virtual meetings and responding to emails and phone calls in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with teachers, teaching assistants, and LOC departmental leadership to ensure outstanding service and support for enrolled students
  • Attend training events and participate in personal and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge
  • Support the Lead Teacher in the development of weekly live online class lesson plans, incorporating best online teaching practices and uploading materials to the learning management system
  • Assist with online classroom management, including taking attendance, setting due dates and deadlines for assignments, and documenting changes for NCAA courses
  • Provide student support as needed, including initiating correspondence with students, recording live online sessions, and assisting with grading
  • Assist with student progress monitoring, providing frequent student feedback and support, and promoting enrichment and remediation as needed
  • Facilitate positive interactions between students, parents, and other stakeholders, and respond to support tickets, parent, advisor, and/or sales team member inquiries in a timely and effective manner

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Experience working with Microsoft Suite products, including PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, and SharePoint
  • Familiarity with Zoom, including screen sharing, annotating, recording, breakout rooms, and chats
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS), preferably Moodle
  • Strong independent work habits and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote environment
  • Dedication to customer service and program support, with excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Quality focus, with attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality support and services
  • Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to respond to support tickets and inquiries in a timely and effective manner
  • Listening and communication skills, with the ability to facilitate positive interactions between students, parents, and other stakeholders
