About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Software Engineer to join our team in a work-from-home capacity. As a key member of our IT team, you will play a vital role in driving the development and implementation of web and cloud applications that support our business operations. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the growth and success of Delta Airlines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement web and cloud applications using a range of technologies, including Java/JEE, JSON, Spring, Precise, Lithe/DevOps, APIs, JavaScript, C++, Python, REST, XML, web services, HTML, and mobile technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design, and test software applications.
  • Contribute to the development of data analytics and business intelligence solutions to support business decision-making.
  • Participate in the design, development, and testing of software applications, including unit testing, integration testing, and system testing.
  • Work with the team to identify and resolve technical issues, and implement best practices to improve software quality and reliability.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design documents, technical specifications, and user manuals.
  • Collaborate with the team to identify and prioritize new project initiatives and contribute to the development of project plans and timelines.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to improve code quality and maintainability.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in software development, and contribute to the development of new technologies and solutions.

What You'll Need to Succeed

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a strong foundation in software development, data analytics, and business intelligence. The following are the minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 2.5 GPA or higher and completion of at least 2 years in a school program.
  • Strong scientific, administrative, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Embracing diverse individuals, thinking, and styles.
  • Reliability and commitment to maintaining the health and safety of self and others.
  • Ability to work in a business-casual work clothing climate.
  • Interest in working for Delta Airlines after graduation, if given an offer.
  • Commitment to maintaining the health and safety of self, others, and individual data.
