Job Summary
As a Customer Service Representative at Blithequark, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers, assisting them with selection of merchandise, completing transactions, and answering questions regarding the store and merchandise. You will be a key ambassador for our brand, driving customer engagement, and contributing to a positive and profitable store operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Engagement: Provide customer engagement in a positive and approachable manner, greeting customers, and assisting them with their shopping needs.
- Store Maintenance: Assist in maintaining a clean, well-stocked store for customers during their shopping experience, including unloading merchandise from delivery trucks, organizing merchandise, and transporting merchandise from stockroom to sales floor.
- Shelf Stocking and Merchandise Recovery: Independently stock shelves and recover merchandise in the store, ensuring that the sales floor is well-stocked and organized.
- Transaction Processing: Accurately handle customer funds and process transactions using the POS system, ensuring a smooth and efficient checkout experience.
- Customer Safety and Security: Remain constantly aware of customer activity to ensure a safe and secure shopping environment, responding promptly to any customer concerns or issues.
- Additional Duties: Perform all other duties as assigned to maintain an effective and profitable store operation, including supporting visual merchandising, participating in inventory management, and contributing to store events and promotions.
Position Requirements
Education and Experience
We prefer candidates with a high school diploma or equivalent, and experience working in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environments. However, we welcome applications from motivated individuals with a strong desire to succeed in a customer-facing role.
Physical Requirements
This role requires the ability to regularly lift up to 40lbs. (and occasionally, up to 55 lbs.) from floor level to above shoulder height; must be able to meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Availability
We are seeking individuals who can work a flexible, full-time schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
