About the Role: Senior Pharmacy Care Technician – Medicare Health Outcomes Improvement

We're seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Pharmacy Care Technician to join our pharmacy team. As a Senior Pharmacy Care Technician, you'll perform live telephonic outreach to UHC Medicare members and their physicians/pharmacies to improve health quality outcomes, such as medication adherence and appropriate drug utilization. Key Responsibilities:

  • Telephonic Customer Outreach: Perform live telephonic outreach to improve health quality outcomes in collaboration with clinical pharmacists.
  • Provider and Pharmacy Engagement: Provide additional telephonic engagement with providers and pharmacies to improve member experience and reduce barriers to adherence drugs.
  • Assess and Interpret Customer Needs: Assess and interpret customer needs and requirements, triaging to a clinical pharmacist when appropriate.
  • Outbound Calls: Make outbound calls to CAHPs detractors and Med Adh members to improve member experience and reduce barriers to adherence drugs.
  • Documentation and Tracking: Document and track member engagement to ensure effective follow-up and continuity of care.

Requirements and Qualifications:

Essential Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma/GED (or higher).
  • Licensure: Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Illinois.
  • Certification: National Pharmacy Technician Certification.
  • Experience: 3+ years of Pharmacy Technician experience.
  • Technical Skills: Beginner level of proficiency with navigating Microsoft Office and a Windows-based environment.
  • Location: Must reside within a commutable distance to the Schaumburg, IL office location.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Retail and/or Mail Order Pharmacy Experience: Experience working in a retail and/or mail order pharmacy setting.
  • Part D Claims Adjudication Experience: Experience with Part D claims adjudication.
