Position Summary: School for International Training (SIT) Study Abroad is seeking a results-driven admissions officer to support enrollment in a portfolio of undergraduate study abroad programs in Europe. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Study Abroad Admissions, the Admissions Officer will work both independently and collaboratively to implement strategic plans for admissions-related activities with a focus on enrollment and retention. The admissions officer provides proactive student support throughout the inquiry, application, and pre-departure and arrival processes and advises prospective students and applicants about admissions policies and procedures and reviews applications for eligibility. Responsibilities: • Assist prospective students to understand the application process and ensure all materials are complete and accurate. • Provide proactive and timely guidance and support to prospective students from inquiry through departure, including but not limited to facilitating pre-departure orientation, visa preparation, and travel logistics. • Gain expert knowledge about academic programs to best advise students in their decision process. • Cultivate relationships with faculty and local program staff. • Utilize inquiry and applicant data to inform strategies, decisions, and priorities. • Stay current with admissions policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with institutional and regulatory requirements. • Collaborate with SIT Enrollment staff on admissions planning and policies. • Review and evaluate applications to determine admission eligibility. • Meet goals for communicating with assigned leads and applicants. • Record all contact and effectively track communication in the Customer Relations Software system. • Stewardship of alumni mentor program. • Participate in organization-wide events and perform additional duties as required. • Collaborate with the University Relations and Marketing and Communication units to support marking and outreach initiatives. • Support the overall strategic enrollment efforts of the organization. Required Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree • Commitment to an ethical and student-centered approach consistent with our organizational values, and with the ability to build rapport and maintain professional relationships with students, colleagues, and other constituents. • Evidence of excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills • Previous study, travel, or living experience abroad. • Exceptional organizational, attention to detail, proactive problem solving, and multi-tasking skills • Demonstrated ability in using data to inform decision-making and attention to detail • Demonstrated ability to work independently with little supervision and as part of a team • High level of comfort with technology such as video communications applications, Office 365 (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Word) and Customer Relations Management software (CRM). • Occasional flexibility to work evening and weekend hours and travel as needed Preferred Qualifications: • Master's degree • Regional familiarity with Europe • Familiarity with European visa application processes • Experience in advising/counseling of students • Knowledge of Salesforce (CRM) Benefits World Learning provides a comprehensive and competitive benefits package that includes: medical, dental, vision, FSA/HRA, Life/AD&D, Short Term/Long Term Disability, EAP, Parking and Transit, 403 (b) retirement plan for full-time and eligibile part-time employees.
