Our Talent Acquisition team at Fortis is seeking a full-time Recruiting Specialist (hybrid)! This position can be located in either the Atlanta, GA or Dallas, TX markets, to be near one of our Fortis locations. As a key member of our TA team, you will be responsible for sourcing, engaging, and hiring top talent across the organization. From intake meetings and job postings to interviews, offer negotiations, and onboarding, you'll manage the full-cycle recruitment process while ensuring a seamless, high-touch candidate experience.

• Experienced with hiring organization-wide, for both exempt and non-exempt positions in a manufacturing environment (ie: production, warehouse, management, office, technical, finance/accounting, supply chain, product, sales, marketing, etc.).
This position is hyrbid, with required availability during standard business hours. Occasional overtime may be required during peak business periods to meet critical deadlines and ensure availability for candidate's local time zones. This role requires a dedicated home workspace with reliable internet. The position also involves prolonged periods of sitting, operating a computer, and communicating via phone, video and email. This position is salaried with full benefits, including a profit sharing bonus, 401k with match, tuition reimbursement program and a home computer/office setup.
As the recruiting specialist you will be responsible for the full cycle recruiting process for non-exempt and exempt positions across all Company locations, as assigned. In this position, you will attract, screen, select, and hire exceptional talent to fill open positions. As the Recruiting Specialist, you will collaborate regularly with applicants, hiring managers, Human Resources and outside recruiting partners to communicate our Employer Value Proposition and deliver a positive candidate experience that reflects the company’s brand. Lastly, you will be expected to execute the full cycle recruiting process with both accuracy and consistency.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Effectively and efficiently utilize company recruiting tool (ATS, CRM) to manage applicant pipeline and move candidates through the hiring process.
• Effectively and efficiently source a qualified, diverse pool of candidates for the company’s open positions, utilizing all available tools (ie: Company ATS, job board resume databases, social media, college job boards, Linkedin Recruiter, employee referrals, career fairs, etc.).
• Conduct thorough intake meetings with hiring managers to gather necessary data for proper vetting and eventual presentation of highly qualified candidates.
• Submit requisitions for approval & posting via ATS, according to company SOP’s.
• Assess and validate applicant qualifications against job requirements.
• Evaluate, pre-screen and vet candidates effectively and efficiently. Determine candidacy based on established requirements and hiring manager’s needs.
• Schedule phone, in-person and video interviews for hiring managers. Track progression of candidates throughout the interview process, engaging all stakeholders along the way.
• Communicate the Company EVP (Employer Value Proposition) and available benefits to all potential candidates as part of the interview process.
• Ensure accurate records of all candidate activity within the Company ATS system.
• Ensure timely candidate follow up. Reject dispositioned applicants expeditiously, providing timely feedback and a positive experience with the Company.
• Provide timely pipeline and progress updates to all stakeholders regarding requisition status.
• Monitor job postings and take appropriate action to ensure peak performance.
• Partner with outside talent/placement agencies, as needed, to ensure regular influx of viable candidates.
• Coordinate, direct and facilitate group interview events at assigned locations, as needed.
• Cultivate talent pipelines and build a talent network using available resources: (Networking, referrals, Linkedin Recruiter, Indeed Smart Sourcing, local job fairs, other job board databases, etc).
• In partnership with hiring managers, ensure hiring decisions are based on candidate merit, experience, skills, interview feedback and verified candidate data (ie: references, etc.) Support fair and consistent hiring practices by removing any unconscious bias from the decision making process.
• Prepare and facilitate employment offers and pre-boarding process, including verbal and written offers, drug screens, onboarding checklists, coordination of training plans, new hire IT ticketing and other onboarding tasks.
• Exhibit desire and ability to achieve assigned goals and KPI’s.
• Exhibit flexibility and adaptability to changing demands of volume and complexity.
• Serve as a brand ambassador, attending college recruiting events and other local or regional hiring events as needed.
• Escalate HR-related and employee relations issues to Regional HR Management, as appropriate.
• Additional duties as required.
Qualifications
Requirements:
Education and Experience:
• HS (GED) diploma required.
• At least two (2) years of similar work experience with full cycle recruiting responsibilities.
• At least two (2) years’ experience using an Applicant Tracking System (ATS), JobVite preferred.
• Experienced with hiring organization-wide, for both exempt and non-exempt positions in a manufacturing environment.
• Must be highly computer literate; proficient with multiple business software applications including MS Teams, Zoom, Smartsheet, SharePoint, Google Docs, etc.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable clean motor vehicle record (MVR).

• Sound interviewing and evaluation techniques which demonstrate good judgment and adherence to applicable laws and guidelines.
• Highly proficient in MS office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, calendar).
• Experience with passive candidate sourcing and other sourcing methods (Indeed resume, Linkedin Recruiter, Boolean searching, referral programs, trade groups, specialty job boards, etc).
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Desire and ability to deliver exceptional customer service.
• Able to work cross-functionally and collaborate effectively with employees from all areas of the organization.
• Highly organized and detail oriented. Able to multi-task, track assignments and prioritize competing requests to meet deadlines.
• Able to prioritize tasks, work independently and think creatively.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Training Requirements:
• Willing to attend required training courses or sessions related to the job as assigned.
Physical Demands:
• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Capable of completing general repetitive office tasks, using a computer or office machinery and using video meeting software.
• Pass a pre-employment drug test and subject to random drug screening.
Work Environment:
• Home office: Adequate Wi-fi access required to support company provided computer and allow for seamless use of communication applications and tools for conducting daily business (ie: Video calls, chat, messaging, etc).
• On-site office: Standard office environment, adjacent to production.
• Regular exposure to dust and noise within the production environment.
Personal Protective Equipment:
• Proper eye protection is required when working near production floor machinery.
Travel requirements:
• This position will require occasional travel, up to 20% annually.
