About the position Responsibilities • Conceptualizes advanced scientific model design, including advanced predictive modeling, with health claims data. • Finalize model project deliverables and ensure research findings are valid, reliable, and reproducible. • Use and direct others in the use of multivariate modeling statistical software (SAS, SPSS, etc.) to create and maintain listings, tabulations, graphical summaries, and formal statistical estimates and tests. • Perform and direct others in the performance of advanced predictive modeling for clinical program development/enhancement. • Develop automated production analysis tools where appropriate and create production predictive modeling process for clinical programs. • Mentor and coach less experienced Data Scientists and analysts; may have direct supervision over exempt level employees. • Other duties as assigned. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in statistics, mathematics, epidemiology, or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience; HS diploma or GED is required. • 8 years of related work experience with large data sets, SAS and SQL and building predictive models. • Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Highly analytical and research oriented. • Demonstrated expertise with SAS and SQL. • Proven expertise building complex predictive models. Nice-to-haves • Healthcare experience • Advanced SAS experience in UNIX environment • Research Master's degree (e.g., M.S., M.P.H.) or equivalent work experience.
