Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Senior Information Designer to join our team. As a Senior Information Designer, you will have the opportunity to work on complex projects, lead teams, and drive the execution of different strategies and initiatives. You will be responsible for designing and developing highly scalable Big Data solutions and ETL ecosystems, as well as leading the work of other small groups of specialists. If you have a strong background in computer programming, data engineering, and experience with Hadoop, Hive, Apache Spark, and other big data technologies, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the work of other small groups of specialists, including offshore partners, for assigned engineering activities by providing appropriate guidance, direction, and models
  • Identify short- and long-term solutions and schedules, assess and endorse proposed solutions, and drive the execution of different strategies and initiatives
  • Participate in medium-to-large-scale, complex, cross-functional projects by assessing project requirements, translating requirements into technical solutions, gathering requested information, writing and developing code, leading unit testing, and communicating status and issues to colleagues and stakeholders
  • Collaborate with project teams and cross-functional teams, investigate open issues and bug-fixes, optimize design to prevent re-occurrences of defects, and ensure on-time delivery and hand-offs
  • Provide feedback on project plans, give direction to the project team, remove obstacles and barriers that impact performance, provide resources, identify performance standards, measure progress, and make adjustments as needed
  • Implement new architectural patterns, perform design and code reviews of changes, and advance and support company policies, procedures, mission, values, and guidelines of ethics and integrity

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and 3 years of experience in computer programming or related field, or 5 years of experience in computer programming or related field
  • 2 years of experience in data engineering, database engineering, business intelligence, or business analysis
  • Strong hands-on experience with Hadoop, Hive, Apache Spark, and other big data technologies
  • Experience in building highly scalable Big Data solutions and ETL ecosystems
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Scala, Python, or Java
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms, such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or Microsoft Azure
  • Strong understanding of data modeling and data migration protocols
  • Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and experience with integration tools like Automic, Windstream

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or related field and 1 year of experience in computer programming or related field
  • Experience with Databricks, ThoughtSpot, Druid, BigQuery, and ClickHouse
  • Hands-on experience with NoSQL databases like Cosmos DB, alongside RDBMS like MySQL, Postgres
  • Experience with messaging platforms like Kafka
  • Ability to lead technical relationships with partners and mentor senior software engineers in various drives
