Community Work Incentives Coordinator (CWIC) – Full Time – Remote (PA)
AHEDD, is seeking a full time Community Work Incentives Coordinator (CWIC) to join our Team. Established in 1977, AHEDD is a private, non-profit organization with a mission is to serve the community as a catalyst in the employment and development of people with disabilities.
The CWIC position supports Social Security beneficiaries with disabilities by providing individualized information about work incentives under a cooperative agreement with the Social Security Administration (SSA).
CWIC Key Responsibilities:
Provide work incentive counseling and assistance to beneficiaries
Facilitate referrals to other programs and services as needed
Participate in follow-up and quality assurance activities
Serve as a liaison to agency customers including beneficiaries & support teams, public and private agencies, sponsors, and interested third parties
Maintain and compile documentation to support and justify intervention
Utilize supervision and instruction and demonstrate appropriate and effective use of organizational and community resources in response to program needs
Complete CWIC certification training through Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) within required timeframe
Complete continuing education requirements each year
Coordinate and participate in community education about issues relevant to employment specific to SSA and work incentives, including marketing and promotional activities
Conduct referral outreach with appropriate community agencies, and other public relations activities
Promote work incentives to public and private providers, associations and other group.
CWIC Requirements:
A minimum of a bachelor’s degree with preference to candidate with a degree in vocational rehabilitation, public administration, social sciences, or finance
Strong preference to candidate that has already achieved CWIC certification from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU)
Three years relevant experience in disability services or insurance environment and an understanding of personal finance
Critical thinking skills to interpret and analyze information
Attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Computer literacy with ability to learn and use a database
Ability to work independently
Must live in Pennsylvania

This full-time position has a base salary of $41,558.40. In addition, the CWIC participates in a quarterly incentive program based on focused performance objectives.
