Gig Description and Responsibilities

As a TurboTax Product Expert, you will play a pivotal role in our customer's journey, providing them with expert guidance, support, and solutions to their tax-related queries and issues. Your primary goal will be to ensure that every customer interaction is positive, informative, and resolves their concerns in a timely and professional manner. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing top-notch customer service via phone, chat, or other communication channels, ensuring that all customer inquiries are addressed with empathy, understanding, and a solution-oriented approach.
  • Demonstrating a thorough understanding of TurboTax products and services, including their features, benefits, and applications, to effectively assist customers in making informed decisions about their tax preparation needs.
  • Utilizing your analytical and problem-solving skills to research, analyze, and resolve complex customer issues, exercising good judgment and ensuring that all solutions are compliant with tax laws and regulations.

Operating Hours and Schedule Requirements

As a Remote TurboTax Product Expert and Customer Support Specialist, you will be required to work a minimum of 30 hours per week, with flexibility to adjust your schedule to meet the needs of our customers and the business. Our operating hours are:

  • 8am to midnight EST, Monday to Sunday, with peak periods during tax season (April 9th to 15th) requiring additional hours and flexibility.
  • A $5 Turbo Bonus Boost per hour will be applicable to all hours worked during the peak period, providing an opportunity to earn extra income and rewards for your hard work and dedication.

Mandatory Requirements and Technical Specifications

To be eligible for this role, you must:

  • Reside in the USA, with a valid address and the ability to work from home with a reliable internet connection.
  • Pass a background check and tech check, with the ability to attend certification sessions and meet the technical requirements for the role.
  • Have a Windows computer (Mac and Chromebooks are not permitted), with Windows 10 or 11, AMD or Intel Core Series (I3-I9), at least 8gb of RAM, a webcam, wired mouse, USB headset, and a wired internet connection.
  • Be available to work all 14 weeks of the program, from January 13th, 2025, to April 15th, 2025, with a commitment to meeting the minimum hours and schedule requirements.

Conflict of Interest and Training Information

Please note that you cannot hold gigs with Column Tax or any Intuit Vendors, and you must be willing to participate in our training program, which includes:

  • A 20-hour training session, with a price of $79.99 USD, designed to equip you with the knowledge, skills, and expertise needed to succeed in this role.
  • Ongoing training and support, with access to resources, tools, and best practices to help you stay up-to-date and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
