About the Role

As a Vice President of Business Development for the Insurance industry, you will be the driving force behind the growth and expansion of our insurance vertical. Your primary objective will be to identify and pursue new business opportunities, develop strategic partnerships, and deliver exceptional results that exceed client expectations. You will be working closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and operations, to ensure seamless execution of business development plans and strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage targeted accounts to identify new markets and opportunities within the Insurance industry, with a focus on claims and collections
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive business plan, including goals, key actions, targets, and measures of success
  • Direct the implementation of end-to-end business development plans, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and client needs
  • Collaborate with the Bid/Proposal team to generate presentations and proposals for client delivery
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring delivery of committed results and exceptional customer experience
  • Utilize and manage the TP CRM system, Salesforce, to track sales activities, opportunities, and client interactions
  • Uphold and promote Teleperformance core values, norms, standard operating policies, and procedures

First-Year Objectives

In your first year as Vice President of Business Development, you will be expected to achieve the following objectives:

  • Design a business development strategy to engage identified target list based on assigned accounts
  • Qualify 12 opportunities per year, with a focus on high-value and strategic accounts
  • Build confidence and trust with new and current accounts through close partnerships and outstanding delivery
  • Engage with customers in a consultative way, understanding their value proposition and designing solutions that enable improved business outcomes
  • Optimize internal relationships with Sales Support and Client Services, ensuring seamless collaboration and alignment

Requirements for Success

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Bachelor's degree or above, preferred
  • 8+ years of successful enterprise sales experience selling into the Insurance industry, with a focus on Property and Casualty and Life and Annuity
  • Good understanding of CX-related digital technologies, with digital transformation experience a plus
  • Strong negotiation and business management skills, with the ability to drive results and achieve targets
  • Analytical thinking, proactive attitude, and strong written and oral communication skills
  • Extensive experience selling and presenting to high-level decision-makers, including C-level Executives
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and teamwork mindset, with the ability to build strong relationships and collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Highly detailed-oriented, with the ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities
