Our team of dedicated professionals is passionate about making a positive impact on people's lives, and we are seeking like-minded individuals to join our mission. **Job Summary** As a Virtual Monitoring Attendant, you will be responsible for monitoring patients requiring close observation via remote camera monitoring. You will work cooperatively with nursing staff and other patient healthcare personnel to maintain a safe environment and ensure optimal patient safety and comfort. This is a full-time night shift position, and you will be required to work 12-hour shifts. **Key Responsibilities** * Maintain audio and visual observation at all times, monitoring patient behaviors and movements * Continuously select patient windows for audition of patient concerns * Recognize behaviors that could result in potential harm to patients and support the plan of care * Verbally redirect patients over digital 2-way audio device using a microphone and headset * Immediately summon nursing staff if the patient requires assistance * Document according to guidelines in an accurate and timely manner * Provide nursing staff with information in a timely fashion when patients appear to pose a threat to themselves or others * Participate in collaborative identification and reporting of patient safety issues * Assure patient environment safety and seek assistance from nursing staff with removal of any potential safety hazard from the room * Recognize and communicate issues/occurrences utilizing established lines of authority and assist in identifying ways to resolve variances or unacceptable outcomes * Collaborate with virtual monitoring leadership to prioritize/allocation use of monitoring resources * May support learning opportunities to meet the educational needs of patients/families * Provide for patient comfort, safety, and protect dignity, privacy, and confidentiality * Maintain required department confidentiality and abide by HIPPA regulations * Responsible for maintaining and participating in departmental/organizational meetings, in-services, and educational opportunities * Supports and abides by all medical center, departmental, and safety policies and procedures * Proactively identifies safety concerns surrounding the work environment **Essential Qualifications** * High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field preferred * 1-2 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in patient monitoring or a related field * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work independently with minimal supervision * Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations * Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic medical records (EMRs) * Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information **Preferred Qualifications** * Experience with remote patient monitoring systems and technology * Certification in a healthcare-related field (e.g., CNA, LPN, RN) * Bilingual or multilingual skills * Experience working with diverse patient populations **Skills and Competencies** * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work independently with minimal supervision * Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations * Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic medical records (EMRs) * Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information * Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills * Ability to work collaboratively with nursing staff and other patient healthcare personnel * Strong customer service skills and ability to provide patient-centered care **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** At Workwarp, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
