Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Entry-Level Pharmacy Technician to join our remote team. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting our pharmacists and customers, ensuring seamless operations, and maintaining high-quality standards. Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize Walgreens solution information section strategies and rules to process new patient enrollment by entering information into the proper system.
  • Handle patient medication demands within HIPAA guidelines and enter refill orders for processing.
  • Investigate to obtain missing medication data, and decipher clinical shortenings (SIG codes).
  • Settle all information passage-related exceptions.
  • Operate automated hardware, sort prescriptions, progress stock through various workflow stages with an emphasis on quality control.
  • Count and fill solutions, append names, pack, and ship.
  • Clean and assist with maintaining hardware and keeping an efficient workspace.
  • Settle Outsider Oddballs by evaluating, gathering data, making adjustments, and resubmitting for processing according to individual arrangement prerequisites.
  • Provide assistance to Pharmacists, both those in the office and those at different locations.
  • Identify and communicate issues to senior-level staff as necessary.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:

  • Fundamental level computer skills (e.g., start and close down computer, use mouse to point and click, start and close programs, switch between programs, save files, print reports, or access data online).
  • Fundamental web search skills to include opening a program, composing in URLs in the right area, using a web search engine, bookmarking a website, exploring using back/forward/stop buttons, and completing forms online.
  • Halfway level keyboarding skills (at least 25 WPM, typing by memory, arranging reports).
  • Willing and able to perform tasks which include pushing, pulling, grasping, and lifting regardless of reasonable convenience.
  • Willing and able to carry as much as 50 pounds regardless of reasonable convenience.
  • Willing and able to work an adaptable shift.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following preferred qualifications will make you a strong candidate for this role:

  • At least one year of pharmacy professional experience in a retail, fulfillment, or call center environment.
  • Experience providing customer service to internal and external clients, including meeting quality and efficiency guidelines for services.
  • Required certification/enrollment as a Pharmacy Technician by state as conceded by the state Board of Pharmacy or widely recognized certification agency.
  • Intermediate to advanced level keyboarding skills (at least 35 WPM, typing by memory, organizing reports).
