Key Responsibilities As a Line Avionics Technician, your primary responsibilities will include: Performing maintenance and repairs on airplane electrical and electronic systems, including communication, navigation, and flight control systems. Conducting inspections, tests, and troubleshooting to identify and resolve technical issues. Complying with all internal Alaska Airlines policies and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements, to ensure a safe working environment and adherence to industry standards. Working efficiently to minimize downtime and ensure prompt return to service of aircraft. Exercising the authority of an Airframe and Powerplant (A&P)/FCC in signing the Airplane Maintenance Log for Airworthiness Release or Return to Service of an aircraft or aircraft component. Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized workspace, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures. Essential Qualifications To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications: At least 2 years of experience working on commercial heavy stream aircraft and/or military aircraft. Solid knowledge of airplane systems, including electrical and electronic systems. Ability to lift 70 lbs consistently and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, squatting, reaching, and handling. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate and resolve technical issues. Knowledge of Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and company procedures. Valid Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license. Valid FCC license or the ability to obtain one within 90 days of hire. Valid and operable driver's license. Flexibility to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Ability to communicate effectively in English. High school diploma or equivalent. At least 18 years of age. Authorized to work in the United States. Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are preferred: At least 4 years of experience as an aviation technician. Experience using schematics and wiring charts.
