As a Customer Service Associate - Temporary, you'll be part of a collaborative and inclusive team that values diversity, equity, and inclusion. **Key Responsibilities** As a Customer Service Associate - Temporary at blithequark, you'll be responsible for delivering a distinctive and delightful customer experience that exceeds our customers' expectations. Your key responsibilities will include: * Engaging customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services * Resolving customer issues and answering questions to ensure a positive customer experience * Modeling and sharing customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience * Providing customers with courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service * Recommending items for sale to customers and recommending trade-up and/or companion items * Registering customer purchases on assigned cash register, collecting cash and distributing change as requested * Processing voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges as needed * Keeping counters and shelves clean and well merchandised, taking inventory, and maintaining records * Checking in and pricing merchandise as required or as directed by store manager or communicated by the shift leader * Implementing Company asset protection procedures to identify and minimize profit loss * Ensuring compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products (e.g., alcoholic beverages and tobacco products) * Constructing and maintaining displays, including promotional, seasonal, super structures, and sale merchandise * Completing resets and revisions as directed * Assisting with separation of food items (e.g., raw foods from pre-cooked) and product placement as specified by policies/procedures * Providing customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo service, poster print and creative machine, suggestive sell of promotional photo products * Assisting with exterior and interior maintenance by ensuring clean, neat, orderly store condition and appearance * Complying with all company policies and procedures; maintaining respectful relationships with coworkers * Completing special assignments and other tasks as assigned **Essential Qualifications** To be successful as a Customer Service Associate - Temporary at blithequark, you'll need: * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines * Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills * Ability to work effectively in a team environment * Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a cash register * Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time * High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or prior customer service experience preferred **Preferred Qualifications** While not required, the following qualifications would be a plus: * Prior customer service experience in a retail or healthcare setting * Knowledge of store systems and store equipment * Experience with digital passport photo service and promotional photo products * Basic computer skills and familiarity with web-based systems **Skills and Competencies** To succeed as a Customer Service Associate - Temporary at blithequark, you'll need to possess the following skills and competencies: * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills * Ability to work effectively in a team environment * Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a cash register * Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills * Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines * Strong customer service skills and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** As a Customer Service Associate - Temporary at blithequark, you'll have the opportunity to grow your skills and advance your career in a dynamic and supportive team.
