The successful candidate will have a strong background in insurance defense litigation, including construction defect cases. The ideal candidate will be a motivated and results-driven attorney who is passionate about delivering exceptional results and providing top-notch client service. **Key Responsibilities** As an Associate Attorney on our Insurance Defense team, you will be responsible for: * Handling all aspects of insurance defense litigation, including drafting pleadings, discovery, and motions * Actively managing and driving cases from inception to resolution, including trial preparation and trial * Conducting legal research and providing legal analysis on complex issues in insurance defense, ideally with a construction background * Regularly communicating with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel * Representing clients in court hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials * Providing strategic legal advice and guidance on a wide range of insurance defense matters * Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients through excellent client service * Collaborating with the legal team to develop strategies for complex cases **Qualifications** The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications: * Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school * Admission to the California Bar and in good standing * A minimum of 1-6 years of experience in insurance defense litigation * Proven experience in discovery, drafting motions, and cross complaints * Strong knowledge of the litigation process and experience in managing a high-volume case load * Experience in construction and premises liability is highly desirable * Excellent written and oral communication skills * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * High level of professionalism and ethical standards **Essential Skills and Competencies** To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following essential skills and competencies: * Strong knowledge of insurance defense litigation, including construction defect cases * Excellent written and oral communication skills * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * High level of professionalism and ethical standards * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills * Ability to manage multiple cases and priorities * Strong time management and productivity skills **Preferred Qualifications** While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable: * Experience in construction and premises liability * Strong knowledge of California law and regulations * Experience in managing a high-volume case load * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** At Workwarp, we are committed to providing our attorneys with the opportunities and resources they need to grow and succeed in their careers.
